CHOIR
SCHEDULE |
|
Kids of the Kingdom
is for children in grades K-2. This
group meets weekly during the school year to learn fun songs of faith and
to share in faith building activities. Practice is on Wednesdays at
3:00 p.m. on the second floor
of the parish education building. Parent volunteers assist in providing a
snack and activity each week in addition to rehearsal, led by director
Beth Overlien and accompanist, Judie Harkner. Kids of the Kingdom provides
music during worship approximately once a month. |

God’s Children
is for students in grades 3-6, and meets weekly during the school year.
Practice in on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m. in the choir room. In addition to
singing during worship approximately two times a month, this group serves
others by sharing their gift of music at area nursing homes and Christmas
caroling to shut-ins, and collecting Lutheran World Relief school kit
supplies during lent. All of these activities along with an annual
musical in the spring make this choir a popular choice for children.

Tender
Branches
is for students in grades 7-12. Practice is at 6:00 p.m. in the choir
room during the school year. This youth choir shares both new and
traditional music during worship services approximately two times a month,
and is also involved in service projects as a group throughout the year.
Tender Branches has provided music for area churches and enjoys preparing
for their annual musical in the spring of each year. Piano, guitar and a
variety of rhythm instruments are used to accentuate the unique sound of
this talented group. Tender Branches is directed by Mary Cooley and
accompanied by Marianne Torkelson. |

Evangelical Singers
is for all adults who love to sing and share their faith through a
ministry of music and Christian fellowship. Evangelical Singers
meets Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. in the choir room, and sing during worship
services approximately three times a month.

In
addition to leading worship through song, Evangelical Singers participate
in many fellowship and service activities throughout the year, including
serving at a Lenten Soup supper, collecting items for Lutheran World
Relief during lent, sharing their gift of song with residents of area care
centers and senior housing complexes and going Christmas caroling.
Directed by Mary Cooley and accompanied by Carolyn Burge and Thelma
Wiste.

Crossfire
is the name of ELC’s contemporary music group. Crossfire leads music for the
10:30 a.m. service during the school year, and has sung at
various community events. Musicians: Marianne Torkelson (keyboard), Scott
Anderson (bass guitar), Pastor Eric (vocals, rhythm guitar), Carolyn Burge (viola),
Barb Olson (vocals, keyboard), Patty Jacobson (vocals).

Ringspiration is ELC's own handbell choir. Directed by Barb Olson,
this group meets weekly (Sept.-April) on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for practice in the "bell
choir room" east of the fellowship hall. The bell choir welcomes new
members to come and ring out God's praises!
